Hello everyone and welcome to my General Hospital update. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Before we dive in, please hit the Subscribe button and give this video a thumbs up. We're not going to sugarcoat things—this has been an emotional week for General Hospital, and it's only Wednesday. Christina lost TJ and Molly's baby and nearly lost her own life. Molly confronted Sonny with such intensity that he was on the brink of ending his own life. To make matters even more intense, Morgan appeared—whether from the grave or Sonny’s imagination is still unclear—to stop his father from making the irreversible decision.
The performances this week have been nothing short of extraordinary, with Christina, Molly, and Sonny's scenes tugging at our heartstrings. It's been tough to watch, and it’s clear that portraying such raw emotions takes a significant toll on the actors. That’s why it was refreshing to see Maurice Benard take to Instagram to express his pride in the cast and crew. He acknowledged the hard work of everyone involved and reassured fans that everything is okay.
After Monday’s episode, Benard wrote, “Everybody at General Hospital should be very proud—producing, directing, writing, acting. Sometimes we take things for granted. I know everybody works really hard, and yesterday's show reminds me why we work hard. There's a lot more to come.” The very next day, we were treated to even more gripping scenes involving Morgan, which kept us on edge as we watched Sonny’s fragile state.
The show’s cast has been receiving high praise from fans and fellow actors alike. Finola Hughes, who plays Anna, chimed in with her appreciation for the cast's performance. Adam J. Harrington, who plays Kat, also praised the work done, calling it “beautiful.” A fan comment on Benard’s post summed it up perfectly: “Yes, it’s a soap. Yes, it’s scripted drama. But when the actors are this incredible, when writing, directing, producing, lighting—everything from what you see in front of and behind the screen—is this brilliant, you feel the loss, the compassion, the heartache.”
Benard pinned this comment at the top of his post, and we couldn’t agree more. It’s been an amazing job by all involved, and we’re eagerly anticipating what comes next on General Hospital.
