FBI: International Season 3’s Early Cast Exit Prompts Heartfelt Response From Star

Warning: SPOILERS ahead for FBI: International season 3, episode 1!

FBI: International season 3's early cast exit receives a heartfelt response from the departing actor, who is grateful for their time on the show. After a cliffhanger ending in season 2 following their office exploding, Agent Jamie Kellett (Heida Reed) decides to resign from the team in the season 3 premiere. This involves her transferring to a field office in Washington D.C., leaving the Fly Team behind.

Now, star Reed has made a post on Instagram about Jamie's exit in FBI: International season 3, acting as a heartfelt response to her leaving. The actor featured images of her and the main cast in the rubble of their former office. In the caption for the post, Reed thanks fans of the show for following Jamie's story since the beginning of the series. Check out the images Reed posted below:

FBI: International Won’t Be The Same Without Jamie Kellett

Reed has been portraying Jamie on FBI: International since season 1, having served as the secondary leader of the group. She is also the former love interest of Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank), the Supervisory Special Agent of the team. The pair have worked side-by-side since the start of the show, but Jamie also revealed that she felt she'd accomplished everything she wanted to on the team.

While she was always dedicated to being part of the Fly Team, her motivation was spurred by living a life her deceased sister could be proud of. As she reveals during her final moments on the show, she believes it's time for her to return home, in spite of everything she's been doing on the team. Given just how focal a character she's been, her leaving will shift the dynamics of the series moving forward, leaving a hole in the team that can't be easily filled.

However, the team also gained a new Special Agent in Amanda Tate (Christina Wolfe), whose presence could slowly fill the gap left by Jamie's exit. It's also possible that, since she's still working for the organization, an FBI: International crossover could feature a brief return from her in later seasons. For now, though, the team dynamic has been shaken up by her leaving, an absence that will be felt for the remainder of the season.
