FBI Season 6: How OA’s New Romance Impacts Maggie & Isobel Explained By Stars

FBI stars Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, and Alana de la Garza have opened up about how OA's new relationship will impact Maggie and Isobel in season 6. Created by Dick Wolf, the crime drama focuses on the FBI's New York City operations, who counter everything from acts of terrorism to espionage every week. The show also highlights the dynamics of its many characters, including their relationships with one another.

Speaking with TVLine, Peregrym, Zaki, and de la Garza explained how a new relationship for OA (Zaki) will affect Maggie (Peregrym) and Isobel (de la Garza) in FBI season 6. While it appears Isobel won't have much of an emotional response, Maggie may try and interfere – which Zaki jokingly claims is because they're jealous of OA. Check out what the stars had to say below:

Zaki: They’re a little jealous.

De la Garza: He wishes…. [Isobel] has zero feelings about it.

Peregrym: Maggie has some concerns. It’s not because I want to be with him. It’s because I care about him. And if he can’t see that, what can I do? He has to know that I’m the greatest partner ever. If he’s going to give me a hard time about caring about him…

How Much Will OA's New Relationship Impact FBI Season 6?

Although the series features a new case for the team each week, changing team dynamics are still a strong part of the show's focus. This includes developments like Maggie leaving FBI for a short time after getting exposed to sarin gas in season 4, leading OA to be more protective of her upon her return. Because individual characters can effect how the team works together, OA's new romance could add a new layer to the team's interpersonal relationships.

Nothing is known about the Special Agent's new love interest, whose identity likely won't be revealed until the show returns. The fact that Maggie will be concerned about it, however, indicates the relationship may not be stable, prompting her to confront her work partner about it. Although unclear, it's possible tension between the two lead characters may lead to a jeopardized mission in the future.

Although, given Isobel's lack of care for OA's new relationship, it doesn't seem like his work will be impacted too much by it. Instead, the storyline could simply build on his friendship with Maggie because of her concern for him, adding a new layer to their dynamic. However, it's unlikely more information will be revealed before FBI comes back with new episodes.
