Each week one houseguest is named the “Head of Household” or “HOH,” and has the responsibility to nominate two of their fellow houseguests for the chopping block. In a twist, this season the HOH is currently responsible for naming three nominees to the chopping block.
This week, Tucker became HOH after winning the infamous wall competition. Coming off last week’s dramatic alliance-shattering eviction vote, Tucker named Cam, Quinn and Brooklyn for evicted.
Afterward, a power of veto competition is held to either keep or change the nominations.
This week, Tucker won the power of veto in addition to being HOH, giving him all the power. In a shakeup, Tucker used the veto to save his rival Quinn and then named Chelsie as his replacement nominee, meaning either Chelsie, Cam or Brooklyn will be evicted.
Julie Chen Moonves will lead the live eviction night ceremony, in which one houseguest will exit the game.
Before the houseguests vote, the three nominees will compete in the “AI Arena” to determine which of the three of them will remove themselves from the chopping block. This will leave only the standard two nominees for the house to vote between for eviction.
Contestants are competing for the chance of a grand prize of $750,000. More than 90 cameras and 100 microphones will capture the houseguests’ every move, 24 hours a day, over the next few months while inside the “Big Brother” house, according to Paramount.
