Is Big Brother 26 Instigator Tucker Des Lauriers Heartless Or All Heart?

Big Brother 26 houseguest Tucker Des Lauriers has been a master of mayhem and chaos, but this doesn't make him a heartless villain; in fact, he's actually a hero who's all heart. Throughout Big Brother 26 so far, Tucker has been a competition beast, winning one Head of Household (HOH), three Power of Veto, and two BB A.I. Arena competitions. However, his stunning game moves are what have kept viewers on the edges of their seats.

During Big Brother 26Tucker has made some wild decisions. In week 3, he used the Power of Veto to save Angela Murray instead of himself because he had a plan to backdoor Quinn Martin, which didn't pan out. However, during his week 5 HOH reign, he saved Quinn from the chopping block with the veto after nominating him, in order to put forth his plan to evict Brooklyn Rivera. Tucker has also been voted the A.I. Instigator by America and has been trying to cause chaos through his fellow houseguests' A.I. avatars. However, he's not the heartless villain that some think he is.

Tucker Des Lauriers Has Volunteered To Be A Pawn For The HOH

Tucker Has Been Nominated For Four Out Of The Six Weeks Of Big Brother 26 So Far

In Big Brother 26 week 6, Tucker volunteered to be a pawn for HOH and Sixth Avenue alliance member T'kor Clottey. He didn't really want to do it, but he knew that it was going to be hard for her to nominate people, and he'd volunteered for the HOHs before her. Tucker tried to make things easier for T'kor by putting himself on the line. However, he was upset when she took him up on his offer because he thought that there were plenty of people outside of their Sixth Avenue alliance that she could've nominated instead of him.

Tucker usually banks on the fact that he can win almost any competition, but this time fellow nominee Cam Sullivan-Brown won the Power of Veto. When it came time for T'kor to choose a replacement nominee, she was considering Leah Peters, which is what Tucker wanted. However, when she found out that Angela had a plan to target Tucker, despite being in the Sixth Avenue alliance with them, she decided to nominate Angela, even though Tucker didn't want her to.

Although it might've seemed that Tucker was trying to control T'kor's HOH, the truth was that, since he volunteered himself as a pawn, he should have a say in who was nominated next to him. Earlier, T'kor had even told Tucker that she didn't want him to use the veto to save himself if he won. Tucker was very hurt because he felt that he was giving so much to people, but not getting anything in return.

Tucker Stayed Loyal To Angela Despite Her Betrayal

Tucker Could've Easily Turned On Angela

When Quinn told Tucker that Angela was trying to evict him, Tucker confronted her, and asked what he did to deserve that. Angela explained that she didn't believe that Tucker would choose her over his showmance, Rubina Bernabe, but Tucker insisted that he started with Angela, so he'd go to the end with her. Even after her betrayal, Tucker remained loyal to Angela, and fought to keep her off of the chopping block.

If Tucker were truly a vindictive villain, he wouldn't have cared if Angela went home or not. The fact that he was still willing to work with her despite her turning on him speaks volumes about the kind of player he is. Tucker is loyal to a fault, even to Angela, who betrayed him, after he used the veto on her instead of himself.

Tucker Accepted A Punishment For T'kor

Tucker Could've Taken The $5,000

During the Big Brother 26 week 6 Power of Veto competition, Tucker received $5,000, but he traded it for T'kor's prize, which was the Power of Veto. However, Tucker knew that Cam had won the competition and would most certainly steal the Power of Veto from him. Therefore, he resigned himself to receiving whatever was in Cam's envelope, which he thought would be a punishment. Tucker gave T'kor $5,000 and protected her from having to suffer through the punishment.

Tucker's punishment required him to be the BB A.I. Assist. He had to wear a costume and answer questions from Ainsley by looking them up in the encyclopedia throughout the day and night. Tucker was upset that he did this for T'kor, but she didn't nominate Leah for him. It was another example of Tucker feeling as though he was giving so much to his fellow houseguests, while they just kept taking from him.

Tucker Hasn't Been Ruthless As The A.I. Instigator

Tucker's Messages Have Been Tame

Despite having the title of the BB A.I. Instigator, Tucker hasn't really lived up to its name. In his first message, he used Quinn's avatar to out his showmance with Rubina, which some of the houseguests knew about anyway. He wanted them to be able to hold hands in public, but he was very upset when it backfired and upset Rubina because he'd said that she should've been evicted in the message. Tucker was very remorseful about this in his confessional, but he was unable to tell Rubina the truth because he's required to keep the BB A.I. Instigator power a secret.

Tucker kept his next Instigator message light, and used Rubina and Angela's avatars to make jokes about Angela twerking in the house. This also backfired because it made Makensy Manbeck think that Angela was the Instigator. In another set of messages, Tucker used his own avatar to warn the house that Quinn and Chelsie Baham couldn't be trusted and that T'kor is one of his new targets because she put him on the chopping block.

This made the house believe even more that Angela was the Instigator. However, when Tucker warned Angela about this, which he didn't have to do, she became paranoid about Tucker instead, which led to her wanting to target him. Once again, Tucker's good deed came back to bite him.

Another one of Tucker's Instigator messages consisted of Kimo Apaka telling the house that Leah was working with the boys. However, the houseguests didn't seem too rattled by it. If this was his attempt to get Leah nominated, it failed miserably. Tucker hasn't really been able to use the Instigator power to his advantage because everything he does with it backfires. A true villain would expose everyone's games, but Tucker has stayed fiercely loyal to his allies.

Tucker is many things, including unpredictable, chaotic, and wild, but he's not heartless. In fact, it's his big heart that's caused him so much trouble in the game. Unlike Quinn, who lies and backstabs people, Tucker is truthful and open with his alliances. Although he blew up the Collective and Pentagon alliances, he wasn't working with them, and it's part of the game. If Tucker doesn't win the BB A.I. Arena competition and goes home this week, it will be because he trusted people too much and gave too much of himself. Tucker deserves to continue to play Big Brother 26 because of his big heart.
