The Young And The Restless Billy joins Victor’s alliance – defeats Jack for the Jabot CEO position

Billy Abbott stood outside Victor Newman's office, his heart pounding in his chest. The weight of his current life had become unbearable, filled with uncertainty and frustration. He couldn't shake the feeling of being overshadowed, belittled, and manipulated at every turn. Now, standing in front of the heavy wooden door, he was poised to knock, seeking answers from the one man who always seemed to be a step ahead—Victor Newman.

Victor had always been a looming presence in Billy's life, a ruthless businessman with a vendetta. Billy couldn’t understand why Victor was so intent on defeating him, what he had done to deserve such relentless torment. Finally mustering the courage to enter, Billy found Victor sitting behind his desk, a knowing smirk playing on his lips as if he had been expecting this confrontation all along.

The tension in the room was palpable as Billy sat down. Victor’s demeanor was calm, almost inviting—a rarity for the patriarch of the Newman family. It only served to make Billy more uneasy. Unable to contain his frustration, Billy finally spoke, his voice tinged with confusion and anger. “Why?” he asked, the single word heavy with the weight of his emotions. “Why are you so determined to beat me down? What have I ever done to you?”

Victor leaned back in his chair, his fingers steepled under his chin. For a long moment, he simply observed Billy, his sharp eyes calculating how much to reveal. “It’s not about you, Billy,” he finally replied, his voice smooth and measured. “It’s about Jack. I’ve always wanted to bring him down, and Chancellor Abbott is the key to that.”

Billy’s eyes widened in shock. “Chancellor Abbott? What does that have to do with Jack?”

A slow, cunning smile spread across Victor’s face. “If you join me, Billy, we can use Chancellor Abbott to take Jack down. And when Jack’s out of the picture, the CEO position at Jabot will be up for grabs. Who better to take that seat than you?”

The proposition hung in the air, dripping with temptation. It was a dangerous lure, glittering with promise but reeking of deceit. For a moment, Billy was stunned into silence. The idea of finally stepping out of Jack’s shadow, of becoming the leader he had always believed he could be, was intoxicating. His relationship with Jack had been strained for years, their sibling rivalry turning into something much darker—an animosity that had festered and grown, making them adversaries in every sense of the word.

Billy felt a flicker of excitement at the thought. Could this be his chance to prove himself? To finally show the world what he was capable of, away from Jack’s influence? But even as the thought took root, a warning bell sounded in the back of his mind. This was Victor Newman he was dealing with—a man known for his manipulation, his betrayals, and his ruthless pursuit of power.

Victor, sensing Billy’s hesitation, pressed on. “Think about it, Billy,” he said, his voice like velvet. “You’d finally get everything you’ve ever wanted—power, respect, and the chance to show Jack and the world what you’re truly capable of.”

Billy’s mind was spinning. It was true that he and Jack were no longer close. In fact, they barely spoke anymore, and when they did, it was only to hurl accusations or insults at one another. In many ways, Jack felt more like an enemy than a brother. And yet, despite everything, Billy hesitated. Was he really willing to betray his own family? To turn his back on everything he had ever known, just for a taste of power?

He knew exactly what Victor was doing. This wasn’t just about Jack or Jabot. This was about Victor’s endless game of chess—his never-ending quest to control everyone around him, using people as pawns to achieve his goals. And Billy? Billy was just another pawn in that game.

But Victor’s offer was so tempting, so perfectly tailored to Billy’s deepest insecurities and desires, that he couldn’t help but consider it. Victor watched him carefully, his eyes gleaming with a mix of amusement and anticipation. He knew he had planted a seed of doubt in Billy’s mind, a seed of ambition that would be hard to ignore. He knew how desperate Billy was to escape the shadows that had always loomed over him, to finally prove himself to the world. And that made Billy the perfect target for manipulation.

“Remember, Billy,” Victor said, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial whisper, “this isn’t just about defeating Jack. This is about your future, your legacy. Don’t you want to be remembered as more than just Jack Abbott’s little brother?”

Billy’s heart raced as Victor’s words hit their mark. The allure of power, of finally being more than just a footnote in Jack’s story, was almost impossible to resist. But deep down, Billy knew the truth. Victor Newman never kept his promises. He had a long history of using people to get what he wanted, only to discard them when they were no longer useful.

If Billy allied himself with Victor, he would be nothing more than a tool in Victor’s arsenal—a means to an end. But the temptation was so strong, the promise of finally having everything he had ever dreamed of was intoxicating. The chance to stand on his own, to carve out his own destiny, was almost too much to resist.

And yet, a nagging voice in the back of his mind warned him to be cautious. This was Victor Newman, after all. A man who thrived on control, manipulation, and deceit. Was Billy really willing to sell his soul for a shot at power? Was he willing to betray his family, to turn his back on everything he had ever known, just for the chance to step out of Jack’s shadow?

Billy’s thoughts were a whirlwind of conflicting emotions as he sat there, staring at Victor’s smug expression. He had reached a breaking point, yes—but which path would he choose? Would he succumb to the temptation of power, or would he remember the cost of doing business with Victor Newman?

The decision weighed heavily on him, a decision that could change his life forever.
