Hey, Big Brother fans, it was Power of Veto (POV) comp day in the BB26 house, and we had Head of Household Quin Martin playing alongside his three nominees: Angela Murray, Kimo Apaka, and Rabina Burnaby. Leah Peter's name was drawn, and Angela got houseguest's choice and picked Joseph Rodriguez. McKenzie Manbeck hosted the POV comp, and there was a lot of anticipation with the houseguests wondering if it would be tiny veto, which takes a steady hand and grip strength—skills that Quin exhibited when he won the egg-moving comp for the HOH key. However, it was not tiny veto. I’ll reveal what it was in a minute.
Overnight, there was still a lot of Tucker talk in the house. To be fair, the houseguests did talk a lot about Cedric Hodes after his surprise eviction, but the Tucker talk is more persistent. During the nomination ceremony, Quin laid out Angela as his primary target, making it clear to the whole house. This temporarily calmed down Kimo and Rabina, who seemed to believe Quin's declaration. But things shifted, and Angela should have been playing hard for the POV.
Angela did not win. After some stewing, even though Kimo had chilled out, she circled back to Quin being her top target next week if she gains power again. She doesn't trust him, and after the nomination ceremony and a DR session, Angela stormed up to the HOH room, chasing everyone out to confront Quin. Naturally, she was unhappy to be called out, but something else Quin said rubbed her the wrong way. He insisted it was a joke, but Angela, known for getting upset over trivial things, was not placated.
I don't feel too bad for Angela because she had read Quin for filth previously when on the chopping block. However, Quin made it clear she was welcome in the HOH room to hang out and listen to music, trying to isolate tensions. Alone, Quin talked to the camera, revealing his plan B if Angela didn’t go: targeting Rabina. Despite declaring Angela as his primary target to the house, Quin toggled between her and Rabina. The POV was crucial as a renom was a significant risk given all of Quin's promises.
Joseph managed to draw a huge target on himself by talking too much and rubbing people the wrong way, especially Chelsea. He expressed aspirations to win without winning any comps, similar to Dr. Will's strategy, but this brought him unwanted attention. Chelsea vented to Cam, McKenzie, and Tor, spreading dissatisfaction about Joseph, which Leah also supported. Consequently, they all wanted Joseph on the block as a renom.
Leah, in a non-romantic, unrequited thruple with Quin and Joseph, shared the insights that Joseph bragged about feeling secure because of his closeness to every HOH. This annoyed Tor, who had been shielded by Tucker throughout the game, making her unnecessarily salty now. Leah indicated Chelsea’s intention to target Joseph, intensifying the movement to renom him.
Quin felt pressure from Leah's push and the house's sentiments, pondering whether to replace an initial nominee with Joseph. Given Leah's influence and her romantic connections within the house, Quin might lean towards her suggestion despite his own views.
Tucker, now back in New York City, has been very vocal about Quin's HOH decisions on Instagram, showing his support for the houseguests against Quin. Recording his journey, even from the airplane bathroom, Tucker indicated he's not done stirring things up, and he’s rooting for Quin's downfall.
On Saturday, the houseguests played the POV comp called Bot Builders, taking place around 11 a.m. Big Brother time. Leah won the Golden Power of Veto, despite close competition from Quin. She graciously stated that anyone could have won. The houseguests were dressed in mechanic-type coveralls, evoking memories of past comps.
Now, Leah holds the power to shift nominations. Whether she exercises this power and convinces Quin to put up Joseph remains to be seen. Quin is evidently relieved Leah won but prefers she doesn’t play the POV for simplicity’s sake. If Leah refrains, it will be the first time the Golden Power of Veto hasn't been played this season. We’ll keep you updated on the house’s official plans for the veto meeting. Continue following us for the latest BB26 live feed updates. Thank you for being a loyal listener, and stay tuned for more Big Brother goodness and fun.
